About the Inventor - Davidov Mircho
During his distinguished 36 year career, Dr. Davidov held a variety of senior engineering positions in such notable companies as Sirius Satellite Radio, Hughes Network Systems, TCSI Group, Cellnet Industries, Catel Telecom and Oak Industries. Dr. Davidov has been involved in the design and deployment of many pioneering systems including the first commercially successful regional telephone mobile satellite system (Thuraya), the first two way emergency response system deployed in GM vehicles (OnStar), the first cellular hands free voice recognition system deployed in GM vehicles the first fiber optics CATV signal infrastructucture and distribution, the first digital set top decoders for secure pay TV applications and the first digital encrypted system for transmission of secure digital signals in CATV and wireless channels. At Sirius Dr.Mircho Davidov was the senior vice president of Engineering and Chief Scientist responsible for the overall system architecture of the Sirius satellite system including development of the satellite portion and the ground segment ( including the custom ASICs for the automobile receivers ) as well as the interoperability strategy for both Sirius and XM future satellite radio receivers. . He recently retired his position at Sirius to dedicate himself more to developing custom products and new application for Translight Video System Inc.- a company which he founded in Southern California. There Dr Davidov has been developing innovating products such as high performance low cost satellite radio home repeaters which allow for reception of satellite radio signals or GPS signals in buildngs and homes, as well as other specialized module for lighting and and appliances control.
